This grocer's shop was a true time capsule. The stock was small and each item had a price tag which was hand written and held in place with sellotape. There was a hand turned bacon slicer, an old "cash register" and an area towards the rear of the shop in which alcohol was served.
These locals were waiting for the shop to open at 9am to start the day with a drink. It's the oldest shop in Killarney and there was a feelling that time had stood still for the owner and customers alike.
